Before the Conference

When will I know my proposal status?

We’ll let you know  your proposal status in March 2020.

If my proposal is accepted, can I review my session details?

Yes. Once your session is posted to the conference Program page, you can review your presenter information for spelling and accuracy. Note that the session title and description may be edited to fit College Board editorial style guidelines.

Do I make my own travel arrangements?

Yes. Please book your hotel before the deadline. Group blocks fill quickly.

Do I make my own hotel reservation?

Yes. Be sure to reserve your room early to get the conference rate.

May I bring family or colleagues with me?

Certainly. But be advised that only those who have registered for the conference are permitted to attend most conference functions.

Do I need to register for the conference?

Yes. You must register. Presenters receive a discounted registration fee.

How many handouts should I prepare for my session?

We’ll send you an estimate (based on the number of registered attendees) in June. You're responsible for duplicating your own handouts and bringing them to the conference.

During the Conference

When I arrive at the event, do I check in?

Yes. Be sure to check in with the registration desk to get your name badge, conference program, and venue map, and to ask any last-minute questions you may have about your upcoming presentation. Your checking in lets our event planners know you’ve arrived.

What audiovisual equipment do you provide for a standard session or workshop?

Presenters have access to an LCD or digital projector, screen, speakers, and standard VGA cables for a PC laptop. You must bring your own laptop, as well as your own connectors if you plan to use a Mac computer. If you have additional AV needs, let your College Board liaison know.

What should I do if I run out of handouts during my session?

Please take extra care to prepare for the number of attendees we estimate for your session. Include your email address in the presentation so attendees can request additional handouts from you in case of an unexpected shortage.

Can you post my presentation on the event website after the event?

Unfortunately, we're are unable to post session presentations on our event websites. You may use cloud-based document sharing programs to share your presentation if you choose.
